We'd be willing to bet that when someone says California, you think Hollywood or Los Angeles or Rodeo Drive. But say California in Cincinnati, and you're likely to hear, "Cool Marinas," "Oh, I was just there at Coney Island the other day," or "Yeah man, I just won $50 at River Downs last weekend."

Regardless of the response, there's no doubt that California has put Cincinnati on the map as far as entertainment and fun are concerned. World-class entertainment venues are at your doorstep in California (that's 45228, not 90210). Coney Island is home to Sunlite Pool, the cleanest, brightest and largest recirculating pool in the world. Bet on your favorite horse at River Downs, home of a $14 million grandstand and Thoroughbreds that run from mid-April through Labor Day and again in October. Take in a concert at Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati's premier outdoor concert facility, featuring a picturesque amphitheater and lawn area.

If the public scene doesn't tickle your fancy, you'll have no problem getting lost in the woods and nature center of California Nature Preserve. Enjoy some time at home in one of the large single-families of varying ages and styles found on California's shaded streets. Or, as you enjoy the amazing Ohio River sunsets, you'll be able to tell all of your friends you live in California, yet never have to worry about earthquakes and mudslides!

This small community is located on the banks of the Ohio River, southeast of the Central Business District. Fewer than 600 people live in California, although they represent every age group. Those living in California tend to earn an upper-middle class income.
