this neighborhood

The seven-mile strip of land along the Ohio River from the foot of Mt. Adams to the Little Miami River has generally been known as the East End since the late 19th century. Adjacent to East End, Lunken Airport was Cincinnati's primary airport in the early days of aviation. As airplanes became bigger, the airport became too small, and it now serves private, corporate and air cargo commercial planes.

This growing community is a haven for sports lovers, with its numerous baseball fields, tennis courts, boat ramps, soccer fields and other sports complexes. The Thomas E. Price Metropolitan Tennis Championship, highlighting the city's best amateur talent, is held every July at the Lunken Airport Playfield. Historic homes can be found throughout the East End, as well as a wealth of newer homes and condominiums, many with great Ohio River views.

The East End has approximately 2,450 residents.
