Named after President James Madison, Madisonville is home to several historic streets and buildings. This Cincinnati neighborhood has an active community with regular social gatherings for the young and the young-at-heart at the YMCA. Neighbors also congregate on Sundays at several local churches including St. Anthony's New Mission, Greater Liberty and the New Life Temple. Stewart and Bramble parks provide green space for outdoor activities.

Located to the northeast of downtown, the community of Madisonville is 2.5 square miles in area. The neighborhood offers a variety of housing options from ranches and Victorians to renovated older homes. There are also new homes being built in this diverse community for moderate prices. The owner occupancy rate of Madisonville's 5,000 housing units, half of them single family houses, is 52.7%.
