this neighborhood

Located on Cincinnati's most famous hill, its perch offers a fabulous view of the city and expensive real estate. The quaint, unique neighborhood is similiar to Georgetown in Washington with it's many brownstones and condominiums designed to take advantage of the spectacular views. Mt. Adams abounds with upscale art and craft shops, intimate restaurants and trendy bars.

The neighborhood's best view of the city and river is found at the entrance to Immaculata Church. Every Good Friday more than 10,000 Catholics from the region walk up the steep 356 steps leading to Immaculata, pausing on each step to pray a bead of the rosary.

Next door to Mt. Adams is the equally famous Eden Park, which is home to the Cincinnati Art Museum, Playhouse in the Park and Krohn Conservatory, which grows 5,000 of the world's most exotic plants.

As owners of some of the city's most sought-after real estate, the 1,600 residents of Mt. Adams have one of the highest per capita incomes in the city. The vast majority of households are either singles or couples in their late 20s, 30s and 40s.
