this neighborhood

As one of Cincinnati's oldest neighborhoods, Oakley reflects the charm and stateliness of neighboring Hyde Park, while the shops, entertainment options and proximity to downtown attract an eclectic mix of young, old, families and singles to the tree-lined streets of Oakley.

Oakley offers home buyers a wide variety of styles and price ranges from which to choose. Residents are within walking distance to parks and shopping centers, including Oakley Square, which is home to Big Sky Bread, Dewey's Pizza, Oakley Cycles, King Arthur's Court toy store and New York Bagels.

The oldest business on the square is Alglamesis Brothers Ice Cream Parlor and Candy Shoppe (est. 1913). The ice cream shop is a neighborhood favorite with ice creams and candies made from old family recipes. Towering over Oakley Square is the 20th Century Theater. Built in 1941, it was recently saved from demolition and now serves as a popular site for concerts and special events.

With 2.5 square miles of tree-lined streets and an active business district, increasing property values and easy access to I-71, Oakley properties are among the city's most sought-after. The neighborhood has a total population of 9,800 and is made up of 60% families and 40% couples and singles.
