Once the home of thousands of German immigrants, Over-the-Rhine maintains its turn-of-the-century aura. The neighborhood earned its name because residents had to cross over the canal that ran through downtown, reminding them of the Rhine River in their homeland.

Findlay Market is an authentic, European-styled open-air grocery where locals buy fresh meats, produce, and confections. The area is in the process of expanding to encompass a colony of artists and design studios.

Pendleton is the eastern extension of the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, well-known for the many artists who call the area home. Within walking distance of the art galleries, trendy bars and restaurants of the Main Street entertainment district, Pendleton is an enclave of bohemians, artists and design studios.
